I analyzed developer activity on Reddit for every coin.

Using data from coinmarketcap and Reddit I have made a list of the most active teams on Reddit. I have made the assumption that mods for a subreddit are either directly involved with the project or are developers. For every coin I have grabbed a list of moderators and for every moderator I have checked how many submissions (Posts) they made to their subreddit for the past month. I have limited the results to the coins shown here (marketcap below 50 million, at least 5 mods, top 20 of that subset), but I can post the entire results somewhere if anyone is interested. The data is sorted by Posts per Mod. Subs refers to the number of subscribers to the subreddit of that specific coin.

Coin Subs Mods Total Posts by Mods MarketCap Posts Per Mod
RHOC 2448 6 36 34 MM 6
IQ 2455 8 45 40 MM 5.62

ELA 6792 12 51 47 MM 4.25
XBY 5254 16 63 15 MM 3.94

While I'm not sure this subset has any revealed anything interesting, there are a few things that stand out. Activity of mods on Reddit is not correlated to marketcap it seems, but most high market cap coins (like ETH and BTC) have a high activity. Also, there are a lot of coins that have no activity at all and some of them have a significant market cap. While Reddit is not the only place for developers to share information, I would suggest that a lack of activity on a subreddit would also indicate a lack of activity in general, but this would need more data to confirm it.
